Mayor's Award Winner

Dianne Horvath was awarded the Mayor's Award for the 2000 Pine Ridge Arts Council/Town of Ajax Juried Art Exhibit. The award was presented at the Juried Art Shows opening reception at the McLean Community Centre on November 3, 2000. Dianne received a certificate of achievement, a congratulatory letter from Ajax Mayor Steve Parish and a cash prize.

From a total of 152 entries, the juror, Mr. David T. Wright, selected a total of seven pieces (including Dianne's) for special recognition and awards. Another six were selected in the youth category. Twenty six more were accepted into the exhibit, with all 39 pieces hung in the McLean Community Center, Ajax, Ontario.

Dianne has had her work selected to hang each year that she has entered this exhibition, winning the Sponsor's Award of Excellence in 2002.
